The Ambassador of Kazakhstan Yerzhan Kistafin, recently visited the Abdul Aleem Khan Foundation’s remarkable initiative — the Apna Ghar Project. Upon his arrival, he was warmly received by Brigadier (R) Khalid Bashir, CEO of the Foundation; Mr. Usama Nauman, COO; and Ms. Naheed Yousaf, Principal of Apna Ghar. The visit began with a comprehensive briefing by Brigadier (R) Khalid Bashir, who elaborated on the philanthropic vision of Mr. and Mrs. Abdul Aleem Khan and shed light on the Foundation’s diverse humanitarian projects.

During his tour of the facility, Ambassador Kistafin explored various sections of Apna Ghar, including the shelter place for the young girls of Apna ghar. He expressed admiration for the nurturing environment and the commendable work being done to empower vulnerable girls and women. His Excellency personally interacted with the young girls, thanking them for their warm welcome and showing a genuine interest in their wellbeing and personal stories.

The visit concluded with a walk through Zaynur, an exhibition space where artwork and handmade crafts created by the womens and skilled workers were on display. The Ambassador took special interest in the creative expressions of the young girls, purchasing several pieces as a gesture of encouragement and appreciation. His engagement highlighted the importance of supporting social welfare initiatives that focus on dignity, education, and empowerment.
